Our stay at the Fireside Inn (now the Avalon Inn) was perfectly fine! Our room was clean and well stocked. We did not have the room cleaned during our stay, per our request, so we can't attest to that service. Check in and check out were very simple. Location is great; you're just one block in from Main St, and also very close to the Embarcadero. My only gripe (which the hotel can't really help) is that if you are on the ground level, you can hear when the people above you are moving around. The floor creaks loudly, and we had someone moving around until at least midnight. Again, not a deal breaker, but a bit annoying.
It’s a nice little spot to stay in a perfect location which is quite close to Morro bay. You can easily take a stroll to the bay and the downtown from here. While the location was great with views of Morro rock and room came with amenities like refrigerator, microwave, air dryer etc, the room lacked an exhaust fan in the bathroom which was a huge minus for us. With family of 4, the room got steamy and stuffy every time someone showered. There were no locks in the bathroom which was a slight inconvenience as well. Other than that, our stay was pretty good. The check in was easy and straightforward. Thanks for the services.
Location and price are great. The front desk person was friendly and knowledgeable. While the rooms are a bit dated and the wifi is slow, all the amenities work.
Great little spot if you are just looking for a good clean place to sleep with a good location. My husband and I only stayed in Morrow one day to stop and check it out before heading to Paso Robles for the rest of the weekend. The location of this hotel is great, easy to walk to the beach and downtown. The room looked exactly like the pictures, clean and well maintained. The room also had a fridge and microwave which is a nice bonus. Check in was quick and easy, and the lady at the front desk who helped us out was very sweet. Overall great for the price if you are just looking for a basic room.
Loved our stay. The room was spacious and comfortable. The location was perfect. And the service friendly, helpful and professional. Would stay there again and would definitely recommend.
My room was clean and well equipped with extra blankets, coffee etc. The check in and out was effortless. The location is perfect for exploring the Embarcadero, and dining at great restaurants, all within walking distance.
Room was fine although a TV listing at the time of check-in would have caused less frustration. The only downside was the weather which had zero to do with the room. Fog, fog, and more fog. We questioned if we were on the correct, and only, road since the Morro Rock was completely shrouded and invisible
